Cellular rubber
Cellular rubber is a cell-closed material, which consists of a mixture of elastomers, filling materials, softening agents, antioxidants or cross-linking chemicals. Cellular rubber does not absorb much moisture even without treatment.
A differentiation is made between the qualities:
- Natural Rubber / natural and synthetic rubber basis, high mechanical compression and tensile strength
- Styrene butadiene rubber (SBR)
- Ethylene propylene - natural and synthetic rubber basis, high mechanical compression and tensile strength
- Dien rubber (EPDM) is very resistant to weathering, light, temperature and ageing
- Chloroprene (CR) synthetic rubber basis, heat, fire and weather resistant, resistant to fats, acids and alkalines
- Nitrile rubber (NBR) synthetic rubber basis, weather resistant, resistant to fats, acids and alkalines
