3M Dual-Lock
The 3M™ Dual Lock™ products are composed of a polyolefin carrier with small mushroom-shaped heads on short stalks. By pressing two components together, a stable, resilient, and reclosable fastening is created. 3M™ Dual Lock™ connections can be opened and closed up to 1000 times, but they also serve as permanent fastening solutions.
Use Case Example
For the secure yet detachable fastening of trim elements in vehicle interiors, hook and loop tape systems – commonly known as Velcro – are used. They provide a vibration-resistant connection that can be opened and closed quickly, cleanly, and without damage during maintenance work.
